Science Museum Trip

2025: The Science & Discovery Tour

In the spring of 2025, we took 40 students from the Atlanta metro area on a three-day tour of regional science centers. The goal was to spark interest in STEM careers. For many of these students, it was their first time visiting a professional museum. The impact was immediate, with several students later enrolling in our summer coding camp.

Resource Distribution

2024: The "Laptops for All" Initiative

Recognizing the digital divide, NBESSI launched a major journey across local schools to distribute refurbished laptops. We didn't just drop off hardware; we spent a week at each location teaching students and parents how to use educational software and online resources. This journey laid the groundwork for our current digital literacy programs.

Community Support

2023: Foundation of the Success Hubs

Our journey in 2023 was focused on community building. We traveled to five different neighborhoods to identify local leaders and establish our first "Success Hubs"—physical spaces where children can come for tutoring and safety after school. This year marked our transition from a mobile charity to a permanent community fixture.
